Our little guy is learning to count coins in school, which is slightly tricky, because who the heck uses coins these days? While he is wrestling with telling a Nickle from a Quarter, I tripped over this discussion thread on what to use pennies for, and it got me wondering -- what could they be used for?
Turns out, plenty. Like...
- Serving as game tokens
- As a shim to steady objects
- As inspiration for a party ice breaker
- As part of a home made radio
- As a tire tread measure
- And 83 more uses
OK, not exactly as useful as say dental floss or tin foil, but still surprisingly handy.
Got any uses to add?
